Kings Acre Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Sewer Connection & Removal Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: A438, Kings Acre Road, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A438, Kings Acre Road, Hereford, outside the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Grid Ref: 347666/241306.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A480 onto the A4103 onto the A4110 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to private sewer connection and removal of existing connection works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 3rd of August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 week.
