What is happening?

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: B4348 From A465 To C1228 Haywood Road, Tram Inn, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4348 From A465 To C1228 Haywood Road, Tram Inn, at the railway bridge. Grid Ref: 346403/233582.
The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via B4348 onto the A466 onto the A49 onto the A465 onto the B4348 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to level crossing works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 1st of August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night (23:30 to 09:35).
