TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000 151215403 : The City of Manchester (Various Streets, Chorlton Ward)(Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Manchester Road. It is expected that the work will be in progress between 20th July 2026 and 14th August 2026. The City of Manchester (Various Streets, Chorlton Ward) (Temporary One-Way Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to make Manchester Road, Claridge Road and Ransfield Road, One Way from its junction with Manchester Road to its junction with Oswald Road (permitted direction of travel). The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed locally. It is expected that the work will be in progress between 27th July 2026 and 14th August 2026. The City of Manchester (Various Streets, Chorlton Ward) (Suspend the operation of the designated parking place on: Claridge Road. Loading bay suspension. It is expected that the work will be in progress between 20th July 2026 and 27th July 2026. The City Council is satisfied that these prohibitions are necessary in order to facilitate remedial works.. It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 20th July 2026 to the 14th August 2026. The order shall come into operation on the 20th July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
