Stone Bridge Road - Temporary Road Closure Due To Overhead Pole & Cabling Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: C1248 From Stone Bridge Rd, Llangarron, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1248 From Stone Bridge Rd, Llangarron, between Elm Cottage and South View House. Grid Ref: 352768/221066.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via A4137 onto the B4521 onto the A466 onto the C1248 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to overhead pole & cabling works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 5th of August 2026 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 2 days (8.00-18.00hrs).
