TRAFFIC ORDER PROPOSALS – PARKING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON ASHLEY ROAD, AUSTEN ROAD, BIDEFORD CLOSE GU10, GU26, GU27, GU30, GU31, GU32, GU33, GU34, GU35, PO7, PO8, PO9, RG25, RG29, SO23, SO24, CROMWELL WAY, DENE ROAD, ELM GROVE ROAD, FAIRFAX ROAD, FIELD ROAD, HAZEL AVENUE, HARBOUR CLOSE, MAYFIELD ROAD, MORRIS ROAD, NEVILLE DUKE ROAD, PINEWOOD PARK, SANDY LANE, WOBURN AVENUE & WREN WAY, FARNBOROUGH
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council (“the Council”) proposes to make the above-mentioned Order, in exercise of its powers and duties under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 39, 53 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Act, and of all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act and having discharged its duty under section 122 of the Act.
GENERAL NATURE AND EFFECTS OF THE ORDER: Will be to amend ‘The Rushmoor Borough Council (Various Roads in Farnborough) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and On Street Parking Places) (Farnborough Consolidation) (C0021) Order 2021’ as follows:
(i) Remove the following item from Schedule 1.06: Waiting Prohibited at Any Time:Ashley Road - West Side - From a point 15 metres south of its junction with Ashley Road in a southerly direction for 40.1 metres.
(ii) Remove the following item from Schedule 5.03: Waiting Permitted between 10.00am and 11.00am and Between 2.00pm and 3.00pm (Mondays to Saturdays Inclusive) Area F2 Permit Holders Only:Elm Grove Road – East Side – From a point 15 metres south of its junction with Union Street in a southerly direction to a point 15 metres north of its junction with Clockhouse Road.
(iii) Remove the following item from Schedule 5.09: Waiting Permitted Between 8.30am and 4.30pm 1st September to 31st July (Mondays to Fridays Inclusive) Bank Holidays Exempt ‘R Grange Farnborough’ Permit Holders Only: Cromwell Way - South Side - From a point 65.4 metres east of the junction with Marston Drive in an easterly direction for 5.6 metres.
(iv) Insert the following items into Schedule 1.01: Waiting Prohibited Including Loading and Unloading at All Times: Austen Road - Both Sides - Between its junction with Mayfield Road and a point 8 metres south of that point.Mayfield Road - North Side - Between a point 15 metres west of the entrance of Cherrywood Community Primary School and a point 15 metres east of that junction. Mayfield Road - South Side - Between a point 15 metres west of its junction with Austen Road and a point 15 metres east of that junction. Pinewood Park (South Entrance) - Both Sides - Between its junction with Sandy Lane and a point 17 metres north-west of that point. Sandy Lane - North-West Side - Between a point 22.5 metres south-west of its junction with Pinewood Park and a point 21.6 metres north-east of that junction.
(v) Insert the following items into Schedule 1.06: Waiting Prohibited at Any Time on Any Day:Ashley Road - South-West Side - Between its junction with Ashley Road and a point 50 metres north-west of that point. Ashley Road - Both Sides - Between its junction with Woburn Avenue and a point 15 metres south of that point. Bideford Close - Both Sides - Between its junction with Wren Way and a point 15 metres east of that point. Dene Road - Both Sides - Between its junction with Hazel Avenue and a point 10 metres east of that point. Fairfax Road - North Side - Between a point 10 metres west of the access with William Hitchcock House and a point 10 metres east of that junction. Field Road - East Side - Between its junction with Neville Duke Road and a point 12 metres north of that point. Hazel Avenue - North-West Side - Between a point 19 metres south-west of its junction with Welbeck Close and a point 20 metres south-west of that point. Hazel Avenue - South-East Side - Between its junction with Dene Road and a point 10 metres South of that junction.Hazel Avenue – South-East Side – Between its junction with Dene Road and a point 10 metres north of that junction.Harbour Close - South-West Side - Between a point 46 metres north of its junction with Greatfield Road and a point 13 metres north-west then south-west of that point. Morris Road – East Side – Between its junction with Briarleas Court and a point 10 metres north of that point. Morris Road – East Side – Between its junction with Briarleas Court and a point 10 metres south of that point.Morris Road - West Side - Between a point 15 metres south of its junction with Queens Road and a point 4 metres south of that point. Neville Duke Road - North Side - Between its junction with Field Road and a point 17 metres east of that point. Neville Duke Road - South Side - Between its junction with Field Road and a point 10 metres west of that point. Neville Duke Road – South Side - Between its junction with Neville Duke Road and a point 23 metres east of that point. Woburn Avenue - South-West Side - Between its junction with Ashley Road and a point 15 metres south-east of that point. Wren Way - North-West Side - Between a point 15 metres south-west of its junction with the service road between Nos. 103 and 105 Wren Way and a point 15 metres north-east of that junction. Wren Way - West Side - Between a point 15 metres south of its junction with the service road for Nos. 81-87 Wren Way and a point 15 metres north of that junction. Wren Way – West Side - Between a point 15 metres south of its junction with the service road for Nos. 65-71 Wren Way and a point 15 metres north of that junction. Service road between Nos. 103 and 105 Wren Way - North-East Side - Between its junction with Wren Way and a point 8 metres north-west of that point. Service road between Nos. 103 and 105 Wren Way - North-West Side - Between its junction with Wren Way and a point 8 metres north-west of that point. Service road for Nos. 81-87 Wren Way - Both Sides - Between its junction with Wren Way and a point 8 metres west of that point. Service road for No. 65-71 Wren Way - Both Sides - Between its junction with Wren Way and a point 8 metres west of that point.
(vi) Insert the following item into Schedule 3.07: Waiting Prohibited Between 8.00am and 10.00am and Between 3.00pm and 4.00pm Mondays to Fridays Inclusive: Ashley Road - East, then South-West Side - Between a point 4 metres north of the northern boundary of No. 38 Ashley Road and a point 54 metres north, then east of that point.
(vii) Insert the following item into a new Schedule 5.14: Waiting Limited to 1 Hour Between 8.30am and 6.00pm (Mondays to Saturdays Inclusive) Area F2 Permit Holders Exempt No Return Within 2 Hours. Sunday F2 Permit Holders Only:Elm Grove Road - East Side - Between a point 15 metres south of its junction with Union Street and a point 15 metres north of its junction with Clockhouse Road, an approximate distance of 65 metres.

OBJECTIONS AND OTHER REPRESENTATIONS: All objections/other representations in respect of this proposal must be made in writing to The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD or email public.notices@hants.gov.uk quoting reference: A2142/KK, by Friday 7th August 2026. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Under the requirements of current access to information legislation, any statement you make to the Council in response to this Notice may be made available to the press and to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.
