On 3 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- 1. Portmore Park Road (D3877) Weybridge as extends from its junction with Wey Road (D3882) to its junction with Balfour Road (A317); and 2. Old Wharf Way (D3877) Weybridge as extends from its junction with Quadrant Way (X4567) to its junction with Balfour Road (A317).

Alternative route – 1. A317 (Balfour Road), Devonshire Road and Portmore Park Road, or this route in reverse. 2. Bridge Road, B374 (Church Street) and A317 (Balfour Road), or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate mains replacement on Balfour Road and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 July 2026 for 2 months between the hours of 8.00am and 4.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Shophouse Lane (D194) Albury
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

On 3 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Shophouse Lane (D194) Albury as extends from its junction with Row Lane (D224) to its junction with Lockhurst Hatch Lane (D224).

Alternative route – Shophouse Lane, Row Lane, Winterfold Heath Road, Alderbrook Road, Smithwood Common Road, B2128 (Guildford Road), Stroud Lane, Woodhill Lane, Farley Heath Road, August Lane and Shophouse Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable UKPN to facilitate vegetation management and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 July 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 4.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents will be maintained either side of but not through the works site. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Hurtmore Road (C23) Hurtmore
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 3 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hurtmore Road (C23) Hurtmore as extends from its junction with Quarry Road (D957) to its junction with Summers Lane (D96).

Alternative route – A3 (Guildford – Godalming By-Pass), B3000 (Puttenham Heath Road, clockwise only) and Priorsfield Road, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate a new water connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 July 2026 for 5 days between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 3 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of: (a) Stonards Brow (D213) Shamley Green as extends from the access for Longacre School to the common boundary of “Meads” and “Sycamore”; and (b) Northcote Lane (D216) Shamley Green as extends from its junction with Guildford Road (B2128) to the access for “Lee Couch”; and 2. suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Guildford and Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2026” and “The Surrey County Council Northcote Lane (D216) Shamley Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as they relate to the lengths of road described in 1. above.

Alternative route – (a) Lords Hill Common and Hullbrook Lane, or this route in reverse. (b) B2128 (Cranleigh Road), Blackheath Lane and Littleford Lane, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate leak repairs and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 2 phases during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 22 July 2026 between the hours of 8.00am and 23.30pm. (a) is anticipated to commence on 22 July 2026 for 3 days. (b) is anticipated to commence on 28 July 2026 for 3 days. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Thames Street (C234) Sunbury on Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

On 3 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Sections 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Thames Street (C234) Sunbury on Thames as extends from its junction with The Avenue (D6237) to the access for “46 Thames Street”; and 2. suspend ““The Surrey County Council Thames Street (C234) Sunbury On Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” insofar as it relates to the length of road described in 1. above.

Alternative route – The Avenue, Manor Lane, Green Street, Church Street (anti-clockwise only) and Thames Street, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate a new service connection and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 July 2026 for 5 days between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 08 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Lawbrook Lane (D227) Gomshall as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Lane End Farm” to its junction with the access to the property known as “Lawbrook”. Alternative Route: Lawbrook Lane, Burrows Cross, Jesses Lane, Pond Lane, and Lawbrook Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate tree felling works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 21 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 08 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Send Marsh Road (B368) Ripley. Alternative Route: (B368) Send Marsh Green, (A247) Send Barns Lane, and (B2215) Portsmouth Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate high voltage reinforcement works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 6 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 23 July 2026. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic and Bus Lane (Suspension) Order 2026

On 08 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Woodbridge Road (A322) Guildford Bus Lane as extends from its junction with (D4005) Recreation Road and for a distance of 50 metres in a southerly direction along Woodbridge Road; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Woodbridge Road (A322) Guildford (Bus Lane) (No.1) Order 2021” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice; (c) Suspend “Schedule 2” of “The Surrey County Council Onslow Street (A322) and Woodbridge Road (A322) Guildford (Amendment of Bus Lane and Bus Lanes) Order 2005” insofar as it affects that length of road described in part (a) of this Notice. This Order is required to enable overhead cabling works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and to the extent indicated by those signs.

Temporary Prohibition of Left Turn Order 2026

On 08 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are travelling north westbound on Feltham Hill Road (D6205) Ashford from turning left into (B378) School Road. Alternative Route: (1) Feltham Hill Road, (B377) Feltham Road, and Feltham Hill Road. This temporary traffic Order is required to facilitate remedial works and/or any other associated works to be carried out for, or on behalf of Cadent Gas. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibition, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restrictions or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of the Police.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.4) 2026

On 8 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carriageway dressing/treatment/surfacing, and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site.

Temporary Prohibition of Right Turn Order 2026

On 08 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are travelling northbound on Copsem Lane (A244) Esher from turning right into (C158) Milbourne Lane. Alternative Route: (1) (A244) Claremont Lane, (A244) Church Street, (A3009) Esher Green, (A307) High Street, and (A244) Claremont Lane; (2) Milbourne Lane, Littleworth Road, (A309) Scilly Isles Roundabout, (A307) Portsmouth Road, (A307) High Street, and (A244) Claremont Lane. This Traffic Order is required to enable Carlton Civil Engineering Limited to make connections and/or carry out installations and or highway improvements and/or surfacing and/or maintenance works in the length of D3027 Little Green Lane, Chertsey that extends between D7005 Jersey Close and D7005 Inglewood. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 7:30am and 5pm, within 6 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 July 2026. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Management Order 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Esher Road (A244) Hersham as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Aurora” and for a distance of 85 metres in a north westerly direction along Esher Road. Alternative Route: (A244) Esher Road, (A244) Hersham By-Pass, (A317) Hersham By-Pass, (A317) Queens Road, (B365) Seven Hills Road, (A245) Byfleet Road, (A245) Portsmouth Road, (A307) Portsmouth Road, (A307) High Street, (A244) Church Street, and (A244) Lammas Lane; (2) (A244) Lammas Lane, (A3009) Esher Green, (A307) High Street, (A307) Portsmouth Road, (A245) Portsmouth Road, (A245) Byfleet Road, (B365) Seven Hills Road, (A317) Queens Road, (A317) Hersham By-Pass, (A244) Hersham By-Pass, Molesey Road, Thrupps Lane, Mole Road, and Old Esher Road; (b) Prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding at a speed greater than 30 MPH in that length of the north westbound carriageway of Esher Road (A244) Hersham as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Aurora” and for a distance of 85 metres; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Esher Road (A244) Hersham and Lammas Lane (A244) Esher (40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2018” or any Order made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects the length of road described in this Notice. This Temporary Traffic Management Order is required to facilitate mains water connection works and to provide a safe working zone for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 6pm, within the 12-month period of operation which commences on 06 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and prohibition, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists. Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Tite Hill (D3131) Englefield Green as extends from its junction with (D7007) Middle Hill to its junction with (D3132) Kingswood Rise. Alternative Route: Tite Hill, (A30) Egham Hill, and Middle Hill, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate mains water repair works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 04 August 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Rights Of Way Definitive Map And Statement Addition Of Bridleway No. 606 (Dorking) Definitive Map Modification Order 2026

On 2 July 2026 Surrey County Council confirmed the above-named Order. The Order modifies the definitive map and statement for the area by adding a Public Bridleway shown by a dashed black line with bars on Drawing No. 3/1/50/H66, commencing at point ‘A’ (Grid Ref: 516892 149975) on Fairfield Road proceeding in a south easterly direction for 39 metres to point C (Grid Ref: 516914 149941) on London Road. The total distance A-C is 39 metres with a width of 1.4m at A widening to 1.7m at B and continuing as 1.7m to C as indicated in the statement in part II of the schedule.

The Order came into force on 2 July 2026 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that any requirement of the Act or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order they may under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act within six weeks from 10 July 2026 make and application to the High Court.
