CITY OF BRISTOL

(BACK STOKE LANE AND NEWCOMBE ROAD, WESTBURY-ON-TRYM, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and will be operative from 3rd August 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 3rd August 2026 and 14th August 2026 – please see Schedule 2 below for more details).

SCHEDULE 1 – Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles
1. Back Stoke Lane – from Newcombe Road to Stoke Lane

2. Newcombe Road – from Abbey Road to Rysdale Road

2. from 3rd August 2026 to 7th August 2026

SCHEDULE 3 – Alternative Routes
1. Newcombe Road, Abbey Road, Charlecombe Road, Stoke Lane and vice versa
2. Abbey Road, Charlecombe Road, Stoke Lane, Back Stoke Lane, Newcombe Road (part unaffected) and vice versa

(ULLSWATER ROAD, SOUTHMEAD, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Ullswater Road which extends from the common boundary line of No.211 and No.213 Ullswater Road to the common boundary line of No.215 and No.217 Ullswater Road.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 3rd August 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 3rd August 2026 and 7th August 2026).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Ullswater Road (part unaffected), Ravenglass Crescent, Ennerdale Road, Dunmail Road, Ullswater Road (part unaffected) and vice versa

(ST. MICHAELS PARK, KINGSDOWN, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of St. Michaels Park which extends from Osborne Villas to St. Michaels Hill.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 10th August 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 10th August 2026 and 28th August 2026).

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: St. Michaels Hill, Tyndall Avenue, Woodland Road, St. Michaels Park (part unaffected) and vice versa

(WEST TOWN ROAD, AVONMOUTH, BRISTOL) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of West Town Road which extends from Portway (A4) to Victoria Road.

The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road and will be operative from 9th August 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closure may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between 10.00 p.m. on 9th August 2026 and 5.30 a.m. on 10th August 2026, and then between 6.00 a.m. on 24th August 2026 and 5.00 a.m. on 28th August 2026).
