(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Exeter Drive, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 5m west of its junction with Ely Gardens for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th July 2026 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2408171 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Exeter Drive, Lincoln Way, Lichfield Close, Guildford Road, Exeter Drive and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 2nd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kelvedon Road, Messing in the City of Colchester, from its junction with School Road to its junction with Tiptree Road a distance of approximately 620m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd July 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2394423 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Tiptree Road, School Road and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of St Marys Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Weeley Road to its junction with Plough Road for a distance of approximately 430m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2396642 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Weeley Road, Plough Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 2nd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tiptree Road, Messing and Messing Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from the junction with Maypole Road to the junction with School Road a distance of approximately 1210m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2389902 & EP201EH2389902A – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via B1022, Harborough Hall Lane, The Street, Kelvedon Road, School Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 2nd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close those lengths of road in the City of Colchester, as detailed in the Schedule. The works are scheduled to commence after 2nd July 2026, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

The Order came into effect on 2nd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
