Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Newark Road                                                                                      Ref: 27-094

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Newark Road, Eastbound closure as lies between Newark Road and the Boongate roundabout. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Boongate, Fengate and Padholme Road East. The proposed order will come into force on the 10/07/2026 and will continue until the antenna installation works have been completed or until the 09/07/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place overnight only between 20:00 on 10/07/2026 and 06:00 on 11/07/2026. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2026 –
Thorney Road, Peakirk                                                                     Ref: 27-096

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Thorney Road, Peakirk as lies between points 20 metres either side of Folly Bank Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via B1443 Thorney Rd, Werrington Bridge Rd, Glinton Bypass, B1443 Lincoln Rd, High St, Peakirk Rd, St Pegas Rd and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 11/07/2026 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 10/07/2027, whichever is the earlier. Reeves Way and Norman Road                                                      Ref: 27-120

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the roads detailed in the schedule below:

The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above roads. The alternative routes for vehicles affected by this order are detailed in the schedule. The proposed order will come into force on the 21/07/2026 and will continue until the gas main replacement works have been completed or until the 20/07/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 21/07/2026 and 21/08/2026. Green Road, Eye Green                                                                    Ref: 27-106

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Green Road, Eye Green, 40m east of Woolfehill Road. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Green Road, Whitepost Road, A47, Crowland Road, Green Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 21/07/2026 and will continue until the chamber cover and frame repair works have been completed or until the 20/07/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 21/07/2026 and the 23/07/2026. Peterborough Road, Castor                                                             Ref: 27-134

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Peterborough Road, Castor, as lies between The Green and Manor Farm Lane. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Peterborough Road, A47 west, A47 east, A47 J15, A47 west, Castor & Ailsworth off slip, Marholme Road, Peterborough Road and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 19/07/2026 and will continue until the water main works have been completed or until the 18/07/2027, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between the 19/07/2026 and the 21/07/2026. The City of Peterborough, Riverside, Deeping Gate, Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
(Temporary Restriction of Through Traffic) Notice 27-135 2026 Ref: 27-135

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Riverside, Deeping Gate, at it’s junction with Fairfax Way. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: None available, access maintained. This notice is made in the interest of tree works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 13/07/2026. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in
