CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2022 (NORTHAMPTON ROAD (A508),
MARKET HARBOROUGH, DISTRICT OF HARBOROUGH)
(AMENDMENT 14) ORDER 202

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be:

Northampton Road (A508), Market Harborough – From a point approximately 55 metres north of the Northampton Road roundabout to a point approximately 105 metres north of the Northampton Road roundabout, on both sides of the carriageway. A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA or at the offices of Harborough District Council of The Symington Building, Adam and Eve Street, Market Harborough, Leicestershire, LE16 7AG.

Objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by not later than 30th July 2026, quoting reference TL/HTWMT/6207. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –
SECTION 23 TOUCAN CROSSING
DISTRICT OF HARBOROUGH, NORTHAMPTON ROAD (A508),
MARKET HARBOROUGH

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to establish a Toucan Crossing in accordance with Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, at the following location:

Northampton Road (A508), Market Harborough – Approximately 80 metres north of the Northampton Road roundabout.
