The County of Cornwall (Infra25-292) (Penryn) (Treliever Road) (Restrictions on Waiting) (Amendment) Order 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Cornwall Council proposes to make the above Order to regulate traffic in Penryn. The effect is to introduce and amend various restrictions on waiting along the lengths of road described below.
It is also proposed to remove road humps (speed cushions) on Quay Hill, west of its junction with Commercial Road, under the provisions of Sections 90A-F of the Highways Act 1980. The effect will be to assist large vehicles when negotiating the junction area.
In addition, pursuant to Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, it is proposed to upgrade the traffic signals at the junction of Commercial Road and Quay Hill to include cycle signal heads and cyclist detection equipment. This will enable cyclists to receive an early-release signal stage, allowing them to proceed through the junction ahead of general traffic.
