What is happening?

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF 402890 CHURCH VIEW (ALKINGTON PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily restrict part of the 402890 Church View from its junction with the A38 Heathfield House to Haycroft to outside of the property known as ‘No.19 Church View’ on both sides of the carriageway, for a total distance of approximately 150 metres. The restriction is necessary to prevent any vehicles stopping, waiting, loading or unloading at key times.
The reason for this restriction is for safety reasons to allow heavy goods delivery lorries to access the construction site safely.
The said road is expected to be restricted on a rolling programme commencing 22nd July 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said restrictions taking effect. This Order may permit the restrictions as required. TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401472 HILL ROAD (DURSLEY TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401472 Hill Road from outside of the property known as ‘No.29 Hill Road’ to outside of the property known as ‘No.4 Hill Road’ for a distance of approximately 600 metres.
The reason for the closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed from 27th July 2026 to 28th July 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
