TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (South West) (No.13) Order 2026” authorising the stopping up of a southern part width of A417 comprising of highway verge at Cirencester, in the District of Cotswold. This is to enable development as permitted by Cotswold District Council under reference 26/00317/FUL.
Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, PO Box 1393, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE99 5FQ or nationalcasework@dft.gov.uk (quoting SUO8795888). They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at Fairford Library, London Street, Fairford, Gloucestershire, GL7 4AQ.
Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 9 July 2026.
