What is happening?

KIRKLEES COUNCIL

(TRAFFIC REGULATION)
(CONSOLIDATION ORDER PROVIDING ON-STREET PARKING
PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS
AND MIGRATION TOA‘MAP-
BASED’ FORMAT) ORDER 2024
(AMENDMENT
NO. 16) ORDER 2024 TOWN HALLWAY, DEWSBURY LONGCAUSEWAY, WAKEFIELD OLD ROAD,

The Council of the Borough of Kirklees have made the above Order under their powers in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which, as it affects lengths of road in the Dewsbury area of the Kirklees district, will be to:

(i) Prohibit the waiting of vehicles at any time on lengths of the following roads in Dewsbury:

1. Longcauseway

2.    Wakefield Old Road

3.    Town Hall Way

(ii)  Prohibit the waiting or loading and unloading of vehicles at any time on a length of Wakefield Old Road, Dewsbury

(iii) To create a loading bay which will operate at all times on Wakefield Old Road, Dewsbury

(iv) To create a disabled parking bay, which will operate at all times (with parking limited to a period not exceeding 3 hours with return prohibited within 1 hour) on Wakefield Old Road, Dewsbury

(v)  To revoke certain items in the Kirklees Council

(Traffic Regulation) (Consolidation Order Providing On-Street Parking Places, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions and Migration to a ‘Map-Based’Format) Order 2024 which will be redundant when certain parts of the restrictions referred to above are introduced

This Order was made on 30 June 2026 and will take effect on 09 July 2026.
