What is happening?

(TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO. 04) ORDER 2024
TOWN HALLWAY, DEWSBURY
The Council of the Borough of Kirklees have made the above Order under their powers in the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which, as it affects lengths of road in the Dewsbury area of the Kirklees district, will be to:
1. Prohibit driving at all times on a length of Town HallWay, Dewsbury, from it’s junction with Longcauseway for a distance of 75m east and then south eastwards
(exemptions will apply to emergency vehicles and permit holders, with permits only available to town hall staff, visitors and VIPs).
2. Revoke items relating to Town Hall Way in the Kirklees Metropolitan Council (Traffic Regulation) (No.4) Order 1988
This Order was made on 30 June 2026 and will take effect on 09 July 2026.
