(Church Street, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Street, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 60m south west of its junction with The Hythe for a distance of approximately 55m in a south westerly then north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th August 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03768043819/1 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while jetting works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).
An alternative route is available via High Street, North Street, The Hythe and vice versa (with access only into Church Street).
The Order will come into effect on 16th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Downs Road, Maldon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Downs Road, Maldon in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 120m north west of its junction with Chelmer Terrace for a distance of approximately 85m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th August 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03768043819 – Anglian Water Business (National)). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while jetting works are undertaken by Anglian Water Business (National).
An alternative route is available via Victoria Road, Wantz Street, North Street and vice versa (with access only into Downs Road).
The Order will come into effect on 16th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Lower Burnham Road, Cold Norton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lower Burnham Road, Cold Norton in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 60m south east of its junction with Fambridge Road for a distance of approximately 270m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WH1R1J4TPTSB – Openeach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via B1010, B1021, B1018, B1010 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 16th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Maldon Road, Goldhanger) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Goldhanger in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Head Street for a distance of approximately 250m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th August 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WH1PVD4GPTSB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole testing works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via B1026, B1022, B1023, South Street, B1026 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 16th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Maldon Road, Steeple) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Maldon Road, Steeple in the District of Maldon, from a point approximately 135m south west of its junction with Canney Road a distance of approximately 25min a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 27th July 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30097645949-02 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via B1018, B1021, Reddings Lane, Brook Road, B1021 (with access only into Steeple Road, Maldon Road, The Street, Bradwell Road, Steeple Road, Bradwell Road and Maldon Road) and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 2nd July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
