NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the length of High Street, Bedford.

This temporary road closure is required to install a new gas supply and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 06:00 hours from 21st July 2026 to 22nd July 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle ,from proceeding along the length of Kimbolton Road, Bedford between Pemberley Avenue and Oaklands Road.

This temporary road closure is required for a connection of a stormwater pipe and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

(VARIOUS ROADS WITHIN THE PARISH OF HARROLD (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING) ORDER 2014 (AMENDMENT NO.4) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 2nd July 2026 Bedford Borough Council made the above Traffic Regulation Order, the effect of which is detailed below:Effect of the Order:

1. To introduce “No waiting at any time” restrictions on the following lengths of road:

A    Mansion Lane, Harrold

(i)    On its south-eastern kerb, extending from its south-western end for approx. 18 metres in a north-easterly direction.

B     High Street, Harrold

(i)    On its eastern kerb, extending from the boundary line of Nos 85 and 85a for approx. 35 metres in a south- westerly direction.

2.  To reduce “No waiting at any time” restriction on the following length of road:

A   Mansion Lane, Harrold

(i)    Commencing at a point 21 metres west of the centre line of the access to No. 93 and extending for 8 metres in a westerly direction”

Date of Operation This Order will come into force on 20th July 2026 or as soon as practicable after this date.

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024

On 08 June 2026 the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above Order with modifications made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert:-

i.  That length of Public Footpath numbered Y17 in the Parish of Melchbourne & Yielden in the environs of “The Manor” commencing from a point approximately 118 metres east south-east from the residential dwelling known as “The Manor” Melchbourne & Yielden at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) TL 0143/6728 then running in a generally north-west direction for approximately 321 metres before running north for approximately 80 metres where it joins the unaffected part of Footpath Y17 at OSGR TL 0112/6745 to a route commencing from a point where it has a junction with that part of the unaffected part of Footpath Y17, Melchbourne & Yielden approximately 118 metres east south-east from the residential dwelling known as “The Manor” Melchbourne & Yielden at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) TL 0143/6728 then running in a generally north-east direction for approximately 147 metres until OSGR TL 0148/6741 where it then runs in a generally westerly direction for approximately 363 metres where it reaches a junction with the unaffected part of Footpath Y17, Melchbourne & Yielden at Ordnance Grid Reference OSGR TL 0112/6745.
