(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (C20 The Woll, Ashkirk) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 13 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 16 July 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 each day. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C20 at The Woll, Ashkirk. The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the C20, C19, A7, B711 and C20 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. Access to the Golf Course:

(i) from A7 Selkirk - 13 July to 15 July 2026, and (ii) from Hawick side of closure - 16 July 2026.

(A707 YARROW TERRACE, SELKIRK)

(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (A707 Yarrow Terrace, Selkirk) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 08:00 on 14 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 15 July 2026, as detailed below. The Order is required for BT Ironwork repairs.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the A707 Yarrow Terrace, Selkirk.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Yarrow Terrace, Buccleuch Road, Mill Street, Heatherlie Terrace, Yarrow Terrace to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (Weirhill Place, Melrose) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 13 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 15 July 2026. The Order is required for BT works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle turning right from Weirhill Place onto High Cross Avenue.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via Weirhill, High Street, Buccleuch Road, Abbey Street, Market Square, High Street, Weirhill and High Cross Avenue.

(A707 YAIR SUB STATION)

(TEMPORARY 20MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (A707 Yair Sub Station) (Temporary 20mph Speed Restriction) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 23:59 on 13 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 29 March 2027 - 24 hour restriction. The Order is required to ensure a safe driving and working environment while construction project upgrade works at Yair Sub Station are carried out.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle at a speed exceeding 20mph along the A707 from North Lodge in a westerly direction for a distance of approximately 800 metres. A map showing the restriction can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk

( TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER  2026

The Scottish Borders Council (B6358 Dunion Road, Jedburgh) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 13 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 15 July 2026 between the hours of 08:30 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for resurfacing works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B6358 Dunion Road, Jedburgh.

The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the B6358, A698, A68 and B6358 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(C46 EDEN ROAD, EDNAM)

(TEMPORARY NO WAITING) ORDER 2026

The Scottish Borders Council (C46 Eden Road, Ednam) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 07:00 on 15 July 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 17:00 on 31 July 2026, as detailed below. The Order is required for SGN works.

When the Order comes into effect no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along both sides of the C46 Eden Road, Ednam from number 7 Eden Road to junction with the B6461.
