Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction in that length of Stortford Road, Great Dunmow from its junction with B1256 Roundabout for a distance of 465m in both directions. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2026 for 10 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06165449JB – Affinity Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while main installation works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
The Order will come into effect on 16th July 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Dun Hill, Tilty) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dun Hill, Tilty in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Duton Hill Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410271767 – Affinity Water Limited).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while water mains repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water Limited.
An alternative route is available via B1051, B184, Duck Street, Dunmow Road, Duton Hill, Cherry Street, Stanbrook Road and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street, Hempstead in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 150m north east of its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th July 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG9PG19M – Openreach Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach Limited.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pound Lane, Ugley in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 310m north west of its junction with Snakes Lane for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 21st July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410296901 – Affinity Water Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while fire hydrant repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water Limited.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Tot Lane, Birchanger in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 250m south east then north east of its junction with Birchanger Lane for a distance of approximately 40m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410321958 – Affinity Water Limited). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while chamber repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water Limited.
An alternative route is available via Forest Hall Road, B1383, Birchanger Lane, Tot Lane and vice versa.
