THE A46 TRUNK ROAD (BROUGH, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC IN LAYBY) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an order on the A46 Trunk Road, at Brough, in the County of Nottinghamshire, to facilitate the safe passage of abnormal load vehicles.
The effect of the Order will be to close the layby adjacent to the southbound carriageway of the A46 approximately 200 metres southwest of the centreline of Brough Lane overbridge, at Brough.
The layby closure is expected to be in operation at various weekends between 08:00 hours on Saturday 25 July 2026 and 13:00 hours on Sunday 20 September 2026. The Order will come into force on 24 July 2026.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes, abnormal load vehicles and vehicles being used to escort abnormal load vehicles will be exempt from the closure.

THE A52 TRUNK ROAD (NEAR RADCLIFFE ON TRENT, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE) (NOTTINGHAM OUTLAW FULL TRIATHLON EVENT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company no. 9346363) intends to make an Order on the A52 Trunk Road, in the County of Nottinghamshire, to allow the Nottingham Outlaw Full Triathlon event to take place.
The effect of the Order will be to –
(1) close the gap in the central reservation of the A52 opposite its junction with Stragglethorpe Road, near Radcliffe on Trent;
(2) prohibit vehicles from leaving the eastbound carriageway of the A52 at its junction with Nottingham Road, near Radcliffe on Trent;
(3) prohibit vehicles from making a right turn –
(i) from the westbound carriageway of the A52 through the gap in the central reservation into Nottingham Road, near Radcliffe On Trent; or
(ii) from the eastbound carriageway of the A52 through the gap in the central reservation into Stragglethorpe Road, near Radcliffe On Trent;
(4) close the laybys adjacent to the eastbound carriageway of the A52 –
(i) approximately 40 metres northeast of the centreline of its junction with Sandy Lane, near Radcliffe on Trent; and
(ii) approximately 1180 metres northeast of the centreline of its roundabout junction with the A6011, near Radcliffe on Trent.
These measures are in place for the interests of road safety while the Outlaw Nottingham Triathlon is held. It is expected that the measures will be in operation for twelve hours between 04:00 hours and 16:00 hours on Sunday 26th July 2026. The Order will come into force on Sunday 26th July 2026 and have a maximum duration of 3 days.
Vehicles being used for police, fire and rescue authority or ambulance purposes will be exempt from the closures and prohibitions. Buses and local buses will be exempt from the prohibitions.
Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the A52 will be signed.
