MAYALS GREEN SWANSEA NOTICE 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City and County of Swansea in pursuance of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intend to make an Order. In order for Balfour Beatty on behalf of National Grid to carry out works to lay a new upgraded electricity cable at the above location, it will be necessary to temporarily close the above road in part to vehicular traffic.
SCHEDULE
SCHEDULE - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
MAYALS GREEN SWANSEA
Mayals Green from its junction with Fairwood Road in a north-easterly direction to its junction with B4436 Mayals Road. A distance of approximately 270 metres.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via B4436 Mayals Road and Fairwood Road. A distance of approximately 550 metres Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians to be maintained at all times.
The maximum duration of the order is 18 months and it is anticipated the work will take 10 days to complete effective from Friday 10th July 2026.
