BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL (FELINDRE ROAD, PENCOED) (RAISED ZEBRA PEDESTRIAN CROSSING) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bridgend County Borough Council as the Highway Authority for Pencoed in exercise of their powers under Sections 90(A), ( C), ( D), (E) and (F) of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, propose to establish a controlled raised Zebra Pedestrian Crossing as set out in the schedule below.

Objections or representations to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing addressed to the undersigned at the address, below or by email to traffictransportation@bridgend.gov.uk, by the 07/08/2026.

A copy of the deposited documents including the plans and Statement of the Council’s reasons for introducing the crossing are available by contacting either traffictransportation@bridgend.gov.uk or by telephone via the Customer Service Centre Tel: 01656 646363 (please quote reference TRA001-1542) or are available free of charge at Pencoed Library, Penybont Road, Pencoed, CF35 5RA between the following hours: Monday 9.30am - 1pm and 2pm - 6pm,Tuesday 9.30am -1pm and 2pm -8pm,Wednesday 9.30am -1pm,Thursday 9.30am -1pm and 2pm -6pm, Friday 9.30am -1pm and 2pm -5pm, Saturday 9.30am -1pm and 2pm -5pm or may be inspected online at: https://www.bridgend.gov.uk/council/legal-notices-and-orders/.

Additionally a copy of the documents may be seen free of charge at Civic Reception at the address given below between during office hours.
