What is happening?
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENT
NORTHBROOK AC 10K FUN RUN & ALLESLEY FESTIVAL 2025
Coventry City Council, under Section 16A Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made a temporary Order to enable the Northbrook AC 10k Fun Run & Allesley Festival 2026 (“the Event”) to take place safely.
The Order will be in operation from 11:30 hours on Saturday 1th July 2026 until 16:00 on the same day and then from 08:00 hours on Sunday 12th July 2026 until 12:00 hours on the same day.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading, unloading, entering, or proceeding along the entire lengths of the roads listed, unless otherwise stated in Schedule 1 on Sunday 12th July 2026 from 08:00hrs to 12:00hrs, and Schedule 2 from 11:30-16:00 Saturday 11th July 2026 when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed. Suspension of parking along the entire lengths of the roads listed is not required unless otherwise stated.
Diversion routes for the closures will be as signed on site. Closures will be marshalled by Northbrook AC volunteers and the Chief Marshal who has undertaken chapter 8 training.
Rolling re opening of roads will be undertaken when it is safe to do so.
Exemptions will be provided for any vehicle being used in connection with the event, emergency service vehicles, any person upon the direction of or with the permission of a police officer in uniform or an authorised traffic management event marshal.
Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of the closure.
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS FIVEFIELD ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Fivefield Road commencing from its junction with Bennetts Road and continuing to its junction with Tamworth Road.
The Order will come into effect on 00:01 hours on Monday 13th July 2026 and is required to allow Severn Trent Water to renew a frame and cover of an access chamber on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Thursday 16th July 2026.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
d) local vehicular access to Fivefield Road
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS MAYFIELD ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Mayfield Road commencing at its junction with Earlsdon Avenue South and continuing to its junction with Stanway Road.
The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Friday 10th July 2026 and is required to enable BT to safely remove a defective telecoms pole.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 23:59 hours on Friday 10th July 2026.
Exemptions will be provided for:
a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS SPON STREET, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Spon street for its entire length.
The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 13th July 2026 and is required to enable the installation of 2 HV cables and associated works to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 24th July 2026.
Exemptions will be provided for:
a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

NOTICE OF MAKING
CITY OF COVENTRY (CITYWIDE) (PERMITTED PARKING AREA AND SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (DESIGNATION, WAITING RESTRICTIONS, LOADING RESTRICTIONS, LOADING AREAS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2016 – (VARIATION 14B) ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”) in part which will come into operation on Monday, 13th July 2026.
The effect of the Order shall be to:
i) Add, vary or amend waiting restrictions on certain lengths of the following roads:-
Acacia Avenue, Hall Green Road, Shire Close
a) The introduction of a Disabled Person’s Parking Place restriction on Acacia Avenue
b) The introduction of a ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restriction in Shire Close
When originally advertised on 11th December 2025 the title of the Order was City of Coventry (Citywide) (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Designation, Waiting Restrictions, Loading Restrictions, Loading Areas and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2016 – (Variation 14) Order 2025 and it has since been changed to that above.
A copy of this Notice, the Order, Map Tiles and Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry.gov.uk/tro’
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from today, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS ENGLETON ROAD COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Engleton Road commencing from its junction with Holland Road and continuing to its junction with Dugdale Road.
The Order would come into effect at 08:00 hours on Sunday 19th July 2026 and is required to allow for the repair of a manhole cover and frame on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 17:00 hours on Sunday 19th July 2026.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along the roads set out in the schedule below.
The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 20th July 2026 and is required to enable National Grid to safely undertake jointing works on newly installed cable to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Monday 27th July 2026.
Exemptions would be provided for:

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Holbrook Lane Service Road at its junction with Yelverton Road.
The Order would come into effect from 20:00 hours on Wednesday 22nd July 2026 and is required to enable the safe maintenance works to telecoms antennas using a MEWP in the road.
