CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ON
RIDGEWAY AVENUE AND LUTON ROAD, DUNSTABLE

Reason for proposal: The proposed waiting restrictions are intended to address issues arising from indiscriminate parking and to ensure that junction visibility is not obstructed by parked vehicles. The extent of the restrictions on Ridgeway Avenue has been designed to prevent the displacement of vehicles from the junction to adjacent lengths of carriageway, which could otherwise give rise to further obstruction and restrict the free flow of traffic. The proposal will therefore help to reduce the likelihood of conflict between vehicles and support the safe and efficient movement of traffic.

Effect of the Order:

To introduce No Waiting at Any Time on the following lengths of road in Dunstable:-

1.  Ridgeway Avenue, east side, from the junction with Luton Road and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 36 metres.

2.  Ridgeway Avenue, west side, from the junction with Luton Road and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 43 metres.

3.  Luton Road, north side, from the junction with Ridgeway Avenue and extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 10 metres.

4.  Luton Road, north side, from the junction with Ridgeway Avenue and extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.
