TEMPORARY CLOSING OF RESTRICTED BYWAY NORTH MYMMS 23 & FOOTPATH NORTH MYMMS 21
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has extended, with consent of the Secretary of State, the Order which was made under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, cyclists and vehicles from using that length of Restricted Byway North Mymms 23 from South Way, south for 320m & Footpath North Mymms 21 south for 290m.
Alternative foot route: via constructed path to junction with North Mymms 85. No available alternative for users of Restricted Byway 23.
The purpose of the Order is to enable development works to take place.
The section of Restricted Byway will continue to be closed until 28 November 2027 or completion of the works whichever is sooner, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHENNELLS, HATFIELD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chennells, Hatfield from its junction with High Dells south westwards for its entire length (“the Road”), except for access.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 24 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B156 COOPERS LANE, POTTERS BAR/CUFFLEY) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B156 Coopers Lane, Potters Bar/Cuffley from a point 68m north east of its junction with Coopers Lane Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B156 (Coopers Lane/The Causeway), A1000 (Hatfield Road/Great North Road), B157 (Shepherds Way/The Ridgeway/East Ridgeway/Plough Hill) and B156 (Northaw Road East/Northaw Road West/Judges Hill/Coopers Lane).
The Order is needed because electrical repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 25 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HATFIELD, EPPING GREEN AND NEWGATE STREET) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Tylers Causeway, Hatfield from its junction with Newgate Street Village north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Cucumber Lane, a distance of approximately 1612m.
An alternative route will be via C54 (unnamed road), Church Road, Robins Nest Hill, B158 (Lower Hatfield Road/unnamed road/Essendon Hill/High Road/Cum Cum Hill/Kentish Lane) and Woodfield Road.
2. that length of C54 (unnamed road), Epping Green/Newgate Street from its junction with White Stubbs Lane south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Tylers Causeway, a distance of approximately 537m.
An alternative route will be via Church Road, Robins Nest Hill, B158 (Lower Hatfield Road/unnamed road/Essendon Hill/High Road/Cum Cum Hill/Kentish Lane), Woodfield Road and Tyler Causeway.
3. that length of Newgate Street Village, Newgate Street from its junction with Tylers Causeway southwards, south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 839m.
An alternative route will be via Tylers Causeway, Woodfield Lane, B158 Kentish Lane, A1000 Great North Road, B157 (Shepherds Way/The Ridgeway), Carbone Hill and Newgate Street Village.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 27 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 15 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PARSONAGE LANE, HATFIELD) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Parsonage Lane, Hatfield from its junction with Pooleys Lane south eastwards to its junction with Dellsome Lane, a distance of approximately 241m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Pooleys Lane and Huggins Lane.
The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas main is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 27 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 21 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A1000 GREAT NORTH ROAD, BROOKMANS PARK/HATFIELD/WELHAM GREEN) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1000 Great North Road, Brookmans Park/Hatfield/Welham Green from its junction with B158 Kentish Lane north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with the A1001 South Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 3914m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via B158 (Kentish Lane/Cum Cum Hill/High Road/Essendon Road/Low Road), B1455 Holwell Lane, A414 (Hertford Road/Mount Pleasant Lane/Great North Road) and A1001 (Comet Way/South Way) or via A1001 (South Way/Comet Way), A414 (Great North Road/Hertford Road), B1455 Holwell Lane and B158 (Low Road/Essendon Road/High Road/Cum Cum Hill/Kentish Lane) or via A1000 (Great North Road/Hatfield Road/High Street/Barnet Road/Great North Road/Hadley Highstone/Hadley Green/Great North Road/High Street), A1081 St Albans Road, the A1(M) and A1001 South Way.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 27 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS ON B156 NORTHAW ROAD EAST, CUFFLEY) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of B156 Northaw Road East, Cuffley from its junction with B156 Northaw Road West north eastwards to its junction with B157 Plough Hill, a distance of approximately 591m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via B156 (Northaw Road West/Judges Hill/Coopers Lane/The Causeway), A1000 (Hatfield Road/Great North Road) and B157 (Shepherds Way/The Ridgeway/East Ridgeway/Plough Hill).
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 week to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTBRIDGE SITUATED OVER ‘RIVER MIMRAM’, DIGSWELL) ORDER 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footbridge situated over ‘River Mimram’, Digswell from its easternmost junction with the footway situated on the south side of A1000 Hertford Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 18m (“the Footbridge”).
Pedestrians will be diverted via a temporary footbridge.
The Order is needed because bridge refurbishment works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footbridge.
The Order will come into effect from 13 July 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 19 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footbridge.

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Welwyn Garden City as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
