NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Church Lane, Farrington Gurney from its junction with School Lane extending west to a point outside Rose Cottage. USRN: 47903592.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Wales & West Utilities to lay a new service from the 27th July 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months.
The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
Works are anticipated to be for FIVE DAYS.

NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of The Batch, High Littleton from its junction with Langfords Lane extending north west to its junction with Timsbury Road. This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach safe access for engineer to work in overhead structure to provide new customer service on the 17th July 2026 for a maximum period of 6 months.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE BY VEHICLES) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS GIVEN that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce:
• A temporary no right-turn restriction in that length of B3116 Bath Road, Keynsham. Traffic exiting the Esso garage will be prevented from turning right onto B3116 Bath Road. This restriction is anticipated to be in place for no more than 2 weeks.
• A footpath closure in that length of Avon Mill Lane, Keynsham from a point approx. 140m north west of the Bath Hill junction. Pedestrians will be diverted towards the junction of Avon Road and Gaston Avenue, Avon Road, Fox and Hounds Lane. This restriction is anticipated to be in place for no more than 6 Weeks.
• A one-way restriction in that length of Fox and Hounds Lane from its junction with B3116 Bath Hill extending to Avon Road. Vehicles will be able to access Fox and Hounds Lane from the B3116 Bath Hill only. To exit the area vehicles will need to follow the diversion. This restriction is anticipated to be in place for no more than 6 Weeks.
• A one-way restriction in that length of Avon Mill Lane from its junction with B3116 Bath Hill extending to its junction with Vandyck Avenue. Vehicles will be able to access Avon Mill Lane from the B3116 Bath Hill only. Vehicles will need to follow the diversion via A4175 Station Road and
High Street in order to access B3116 Bath Hill if coming from the A4175 Station Road direction. This restriction is anticipated to be in place for no more than 6 Weeks.
• A road closure in that length of B3116 Bath Road from Broadmead roundabout to Wellsway/Bath Hill junction. This restriction is anticipated to be in place for no more than 3 nights between 20:00 - 05:00.
• A road closure in that length of B3116 Bath Hill from the junction of Temple Street to the junction of B3116 Bath Road. This restriction is anticipated to be in place for no more than 3 nights between 20:00 - 05:00. Only one closure will be in place at a time.
• A road closure in that length of B3116 Bath Hill from the junction of Fox and Hounds Lane to the junction of B3116 Bath Road roundabout with Wellsway. This restriction is anticipated to be in place on a Sunday only. Closures may be required for up to a possible 3 x Sundays, in order to complete the works.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Contractors to carry out highway surfacing and footway improvement works from the 13th July 2026 for a maximum period of 18 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works.
