The Definitive Map and Statement for the Former Penwith District Area
The Cornwall Council (Addition of Restricted Byways at Higher Kenneggy in the Parish of St Hilary) Modification Order 2026. The above order made on 25 June 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by: Adding a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of St Hilary commencing at Byway Open to All Traffic 16 St Hilary and its junction with a Restricted Byway in the Parish of Breage to be added by another Order approximately 109 metres east of 'Greenacres' at OSGR SW 5584/2918, then running in a generally southerly then south-south westerly direction for a distance of 204 metres terminating at its junction with Footpath 55 Breage to be upgraded to a Restricted Byway by another Order, approximately 171 metres south-south-east of 'Greenacres' at OSGR SW 5579/2899 and a length of Restricted Byway in the Parish of St Hilary commencing at its junction with a Restricted Byway in the Parish of Breage to be added by another Order approximately 189 metres south of 'Greenacres' at OSGR SW 5576/2897, then running in a generally west-south-westerly direction for a distance of 150 metres terminating at its junction with Footpath 75 Breage approximately 263 metres southsouth- west of 'Greenacres' at OSGR SW 5562/2892.

Copies of the order and map may also be requested by email from PROW0rders@cornwall.gov.uk or by telephoning 0300 1234 202. A copy of the Order and Map has also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Hayle Library and Information Service, Commercial Road, Hayle TR27 4DE from 9:30am to 5:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and from 9:30am to 12:30pm on Saturday. Copies of the Order & Map may be bought there, atthe price of £5.00. A copy may also be viewed at the Offices of Cornwall Council at New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, TR1 3AY on 9.00 am to 5.00 pm on Monday to Friday (Bank Holidays excepted).
Any representation about or objection to the Order must be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Team Leader, Cornwall Council, New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro, Cornwall, TR1 3AY (quoting Reference WCA799/800) not later than 20 August 2026 stating the grounds on which they are made. If no representations or objections are duly made to the order, or to any part of it, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Cornwall Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State (or part of it if the authority has by notice to the Secretary of State so elected under paragraph 5 of Schedule 15 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981) may itself confirm the order (or that part of the order). If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State (in whole or in part) any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
