WHEN: 27July to 09 October 2026.
WHERE: Close the footbridge over the River
Derwent.
REASON: To facilitate public safety during essential maintenance to an existing pipe bridge located underneath the footbridge.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From Dale Road travel south and cross the river at the next road bridge. Then travel North along side the river until you meet the closed footbridge. Vice versa from the east.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190.
