TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026 PART OF QUAY ROAD
LEVEL CROSSING, BRIDLINGTON
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the
effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing
any vehicle to proceed/from proceeding along part
of Quay Road Level Crossing, Bridlington from its
junction with Station Approach heading west to
Moorfield Road junction commencing 2 August 2026
at 23.00 hours until 3 August 2026 at 05.00 hours.
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed
part of Quay Road Level Crossing, Bridlington annual
level crossing testing works, to be carried out and
completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will
be completed within six hours. The alternative route
for traffic affected by the Order is via Hilderthorpe
Road, Station Road, Station Avenue, Quay Road and
Springfield Avenue, Bridlington CP, Bridlington South
Ward. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but will remain open at all times for emergency
vehicles. No pedestrian access will be available. The
Order will commence 2 August 2026 and continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months
or until the works which it is proposed to carry out
have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Further
