What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
DARK LANE, CALOW
WHEN: 27 July to 23rd August 2026
WHERE: Dark Lane, Calow between Green Briars and Westfield House.
REASON: To facilitate Gas and Water connections and associated S278 works to new housing development.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Top Road, Chesterfield Road, Calow Lane, Dark Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
