(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
FERRIBY HIGH ROAD, NORTH FERRIBY
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Ferriby High Road, North Ferriby (junction of Swanland Hill to approximately 150 metres east from junction with Swanland Hill). The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed new water connection works to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 28 August 2026.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Ferriby High Road, Petuaria Way, A63 J A15 join W, A63 through J A15 W, A63 from J A15 to J A1034 W, A63 Melton Interchange Westbound Off Slip, Melton Road, Woodside Bridge South Roundabout, Woodside Bridge, Woodside Bridge North Roundabout, A63 Melton Interchange Eastbound On Slip, A63 from J A1034 to J A15 E, A63 through J A15 E, A63 J A15 leave E, Humberfield Roundabout, Ferriby Road, road from Ferriby High Road to Humberfield Roundabout, High Street and Swanland Hill.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services. The Order will commence Monday 20 July 2026 between 08.00 hours and 17.00 hours and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
