Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Grove, Fairfield Close Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 6 July 2026 Coming into force: 13 July 2026 This Order is being introduced because of electrical maintenance works which are anticipated to be completed by 21 August 2026. This is a 24 hour road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in that part of Fairfield Close from outside No.3 to the junction of Woodgate Close. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T17710/AC)

The alternative route for traffic affected will be signed locally. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. This is a 24 hour daily road closure. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the length of Paptist Way from the junction with Reading Road to the junction with Boshers Close. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. Pedestrian access maintained past closure. Cyclist - must dismount and walk past closure. The alternative route for traffic is via Paptist Way - Station Road - The Forty - Wallingford Road -Reading Road and vice versa. Drayton St Leonard, Stadhampton Road Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting Date of Order: 27 July 2026 Coming into force: 3 August 2026 This Order is being introduced because of replacement of over 200 meters of raised flood walk with Polydeck which is to be completed 16 October 2026. This will operate between 07:30 and 17:00 hours. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in Stadhampton Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the B480, B4015, A4074, Burcot Lane, Dorchester Road, High Street, Church Lane, Stadhampton Road and vice versa. This is a 24 hour towpath closure. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily that part of Footpath No.171/9/10 beneath and either side of Clifton Hampden Thames bridge. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. The alternative route will be signed locally. Reason: link box replacement Duration: Starting on 14/10/2026 00:00 The anticipated completion date is 20/10/2026 23:59 (inclusive) (Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders have a maximum duration of 18 months, or 6 months for footpaths, bridleways, cycle tracks and byways that are open to all traffic). Suggested Alternative Route: Footpath Rear Of 44-56 Chetwyn Mead, Footpath Between Bushey Row and Mount Owen Road, Footpath Rear Of 23-35 Chetwyn Mead, Footpath Between Rear Of 2 And Side Of 33 Ampney Orchard and vice versa.
