TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH MST 18 (STONEHOUSE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of public footpath MST 18 from its junction with Public Footpath MST 16 in a generally South Easterly direction for a distance of approximately 735 metres to its junction with Downton Road. The footpath falls within the Town of Stonehouse within the Stroud District in the county of Gloucestershire. The closure is necessary to allow installation of access matting to give access to large machinery for Network Rail to undertake essential culvert repairs.
The Order will come into force on 6th July 2026 and it is anticipated that the Public Footpath will close on that day until 28th August 2026. However, this Order authorizes the closure for up to six months and if the closure is still required it will be necessary to apply to the Secretary of State for an extension of time.
Alternative Route: as signed on site. Emergency Service access to adjoining premises will be maintained. Pedestrian access cannot be maintained for safety; a diversion will be in place during works. TEMPORARY CLOSURE 41214 GLOUCESTER ROAD TO HALFWAY PITCH (PITCHCOMBE PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 41214 Gloucester Road to Halfway Pitch outside of the property known as ‘Inglenook’ to outside of the property known as ‘Pitchcombe House’ for a distance of approximately 130 metres. The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed between the hours of 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs from 14th July 2026 until on 16th July 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF 401179 HARESCOMBE LANE TO SPRING ACRE (HARESCOMBE PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of 401179 Harescombe Lane to Spring Acre from outside the property known as ‘Yew Tree Cottage’ to outside the property known as ‘Spring Acre’ for a distance of approximately 737 metres. The reason for the said closure is for drainage works.

The reason for the said closure is for works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
The said road is expected to be closed from 20:00hrs to 06:00 overnight only from 13th July 2026 until 15th July 2026 only. TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH EFL 17 (FRETHERNE WITH SAUL PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
NOTICE is hereby given that Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) the Public Footpath EFL 17 extending in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 150 metres to its junction with Public Footpath EFL 28.
The closure is necessary to protect the public whilst refurbishment works on the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal sluices are completed.
The Order will come into force on the 13th July 2026 and it is anticipated that the Public Footpath will be closed until 11th September 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH MMH 173 (MINCHINHAMPTON PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council has by this notice closed temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath MMH 173, from a point approximately 14 metres south west of the Class 4 Road No.45598, Fromescombe Hill to Beaudesert Park School, which then extends in a generally south westerly direction for a distance of approximately 60 metres to its junction with the Class 4 Road No. 45898 Theescombe Hill to Beaudesert Park School.
The said footpath falls within Minchinhampton Parish in the Stroud District within the County of Gloucestershire. The said closure is necessary to safeguard the health and safety of the public due to the danger posed by a collapsed wall above the said public footpath.
The said Public Footpath was originally closed for 21 days by Notice, commencing 21st May 2026., and extended by another such Notice for a further 21-day period from 12th June 2026. The works are still ongoing, and it is therefore now necessary to make a closure Order.
The said Order shall come into operation on 4th July 2026 and authorises the closure of Public Footpath MMH 173 for up to six months from the date of the original Notice which was 21st May 2026. If the problem continues after this time, then it will be necessary to make an application to the Secretary of State for an extension.

The reason for the said closure is for gas mains replacement works.
The said road is expected to be closed from 27th July 2026 until 21st August 2026 only. The said roads are expected to be closed, between 08:00hrs until 18:00hrs each day, on a rolling programme, commencing 27th July 2026, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the said closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the said closures taking effect. This Order may permit the said closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 31st July 2026.
