Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Boothferry Road, Goole (20 metres either side of the level crossing) commencing 20 July 2026 until 21 July 2026 overnight from 22.30 hours until 05.30 hours to allow works for annual level crossing testing on behalf of YW on Boothferry Road, Goole.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within seven hours. The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Mariners Street, Coronation Street, Lower Bridge Street, Normandy Way, Normandy Way Roundabout, Tom Pudding Way, Andersen Road, Rawcliffe Road and Boothferry Road, Goole CP, Goole South Ward, Goole North Ward. The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
