What is happening?

 THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL (ON STREET PARKING PLACES) (CIVIL ENFORCEMENT) (CONSOLIDATION) (AMENDMENT NO 96) (HAILGATE, HOWDEN) ORDER 2026

1. East Riding of Yorkshire Council proposes to make a Road Traffic Regulation Order to amend The East Riding of Yorkshire Council (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) (Consolidation) Order 2021 the effect of which will be to revoke an existing limited waiting parking bay (operational Monday to Saturday, 8am - 6pm, one hour period, no return within one hour) and replace its extents with zebra crossing zig-zag markings and associated kerb build out on Hailgate, Howden.

2. The proposed changes are shown on Plan Tile Reference EU47B which is attached to the proposed Order. An annotated illustrative drawing is also available for inspection with reference TMN2549/1200/01 which shows for ease of reference the proposed amendments. If the Order becomes operative Plan Tile Reference EU47B will be incorporated into The East Riding of Yorkshire Council (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement) (Consolidation) Order 2021 to replace the existing Plan Tile Reference EU47A.

3. A copy of the draft Order, annotated illustrative drawing and a statement of the council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for inspection at Howden Customer Service Centre, 69 Hailgate, Howden, DN14 7SX. A copy of the street notice and annotated illustrative drawing have been placed on the council’s website (East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Traffic Management and Road Safety). 4. Objections to the proposed Order, stating the grounds for objection, should be emailed to traffic.consultation@eastriding.gov.uk or sent in writing to Traffic & Parking Services, Directorate of Prosperity & Place (Ref: TMN2549), Beverley Depot, Annie Reed Road, Beverley HU17 0LF by 30 July 2026.
