(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackpool Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to carry out resurfacing and reconstruction of the carriageway. The effect of the Order will be to:
(a) Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding in northbound direction along the length of St Annes Rd between its junction with Pedders Lane and its junction with Waterloo Road.
(b) No left or right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Gladstone Street
(c) No left or right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with St Annes Ct
(d) No left or right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Lightwood Avenue
(e) No left or right turn onto St Annes Road from its junctions with Watson Road
(f) No right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Chislehurst Avenue
(g) No right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Aintree Road
(h) No right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Silverwood Avenue
(i) No right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Hemingway
(j) No right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Marsden Road
(k) No right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Harcourt Road
(l) No right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Lynton Avenue
(m) No right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with the gated alleyway located between Lynton Avenue and Marton Drive
(n) No right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Marton Drive
(o) No right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Chiltern Avenue
(p) No right turn onto St Annes Road from its junction with Ayrton Avenue
(q) Prohibit all vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading along the length of St Annes Road from its junction with Pedders Lane to its junction with Waterloo Road
Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained wherever possible. All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.
The proposed Order will commence on 27 July 2026 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 33 days.
