TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2026
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council proposes to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on Ellesmere Port Public Footpath 37 from a point on Bridges Road OSGR SJ 4244 7599 heading in a northerly direction for approximately 291 metres to Oil Sites Road at OSGR SJ 4247 7629 whilst works to gaseous nitrogen pipeline adjacent to the public footpath are undertaken.
The Order will come into operation on 07 July 2026 and will continue in force for a period of six months, or until works are completed.
There is no alternative footpath.
This order does not prevent any pedestrians with access to premises situated on or adjacent to the public footpaths only accessible from the path or by any emergency vehicle.
