TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 147647098 : The City of Manchester (Ludgate Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Ludgate Street between Old Mount Street and Naples Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Style Street, Angel Street, Rochdale Road, Sharp Street, Naples Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate adjacent development works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 2nd February 2026 to 28th September 2026.
The order shall come into operation on 2nd February 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
