North York Moors National Park - Public Bridleway Diversion Order

NOTICE OF MAKING OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY BRIDLEWAY 1 BRANSDALE (PART OF) (CLEVELAND WAY & COAST TO COAST NATIONAL TRAILS – BLOWORTH CROSSING) DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above Order, made on 23rd June 2026, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert the bridleway from High Bloworth Gill onto the former railway line at Bloworth Crossing, as shown on the Order map.

A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Helmsley Community Library, Town Hall, Market Place, Helmsley, York, YO62 5BL until 05.08.2026. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at a reasonable cost by contacting Legal & Democratic Services, North Yorkshire Council, County Hall, Racecourse Lane, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 8AD. Tel: (01609) 780780 (quoting reference EC20/CB1/133264).

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Legal & Democratic Services, North Yorkshire Council, County Hall, Racecourse Lane, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 8AD not later than 05.08.2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made and quote the reference above.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the North York Moors National Park Authority may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
