THE A483 TRUNK ROAD (POWYS/CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNTY BOUNDARY TO LLANYMYNECH, POWYS) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTIONS AND NO OVERTAKING) ORDER 202-
THE WELSH MINISTERS propose, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which is necessary to undertake works on or near the A483 trunk road between the Powys/ Carmarthenshire county boundary and Llanymynech, Powys.
The effect of the proposed Order will be to impose a temporary 40 mph, 30 mph or 10 mph speed limit on the length of the A483 trunk road from the Powys/Carmarthenshire county boundary, 350 metres south-west of the access to the property known as Bylchau near Sugar Loaf to the centre-point of its junction with the U2052 to Penyfoel at Llanymynech. The 10 mph speed limit is expected to apply during convoy working and no overtaking will be permitted during these times.
The Order will come into force on 4 August 2026. The temporary restrictions and prohibition, whose extent will vary, are expected to operate intermittently from 08:00 hours on that date for a maximum period of 18 months. Notice of all works during this period will be displayed before they start.
