TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.
WHAT: Footpath closed to all vehicles and pedestrians
WHERE: Public Right of Way footpath E61/1 from its junction with Avon Buildings to its junction with Mill Road
WHY: This is to facilitate rail bridge maintenance works by Network Rail
WHEN: Anticipated dates: 4th August 2026 until 3rd January 2027
ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety
DIVERSION: Via Avon Buildings, Bargates, Fairmile Road, Mill Road and vice versa

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
