What is happening?

The Council of the City of Salford intends to make in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: SALFORD CITY COUNCIL (OLDFIELD ROAD CYCLE LANE) TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026.

The Order will introduce a cycle lane closure on Oldfield Road, outside Regent Trading Estate, from the junction of James Street to opposite the junction of Upper Wharf Street, Salford, M5 4GT. The Order is necessary as part of the construction development on Oldfield Road. The order is due to come into operation on Friday 31st July 2026 and will last for a period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier.
