TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 151113781 : The City of Manchester (Windmill Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Windmill Street from Southmill Street to Watson Street.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Southmill Street, Peter Street.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate works to the Edwardian Hotel.
It is expected that the works will be in progress from 21st July 2026 to 21st July 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00.
The order shall come into operation on 21st July 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
