The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to impose a 20 miles per hour speed limit on the roads specified in the Schedule

SALTBURN, CHURCH VIEW Entire Length; GUISBOROUGH ROAD From its junction with Marske Mill Lane, to the southern boundary of number 8 Guisborough Road; MARSKE MILL LANE From its junction with Marske Road, to its junction with Victoria Terrace Back Street rear of The Crescent; SOUTH BANK, ST MARGARETS GROVE Entire Length; BROTTON, BEECH GROVE Entire Length; MARGROVE WAY Entire Length; MARSHALL DRIVE Entire Length; MARTON GROVE Entire Length; MARWAY ROAD Entire Length; MARWOOD DRIVE Entire Length; MEDWIN CLOSE Entire Length; MILTON CLOSE Entire Length; OAK ROAD Entire Length; POPLAR GROVE Entire Length.
SAFER STREETS SCHEME TRAFFIC CALMING NOTICE 2026
In accordance with Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980, the Council hereby give notice of its proposals to introduce traffic calming schemes as specified in the schedule below.
The location of the new speed cushions and road humps as given in the Schedule shall be on the roads shown and in the positions and of the dimensions specified therein.
SCHEDULE
Marske Mill Lane Saltburn outside number 1 Scholars Rise. 2 speed cushions – 75mm high, 3.7 metres in length and 1.7 metres wide.
Marske Mill Lane Saltburn outside number 15 Marske Mill Lane 2 speed cushions – 75mm high, 3.7 metres in length and 1.7 metres wide.
Marway Road, Brotton outside nos 9 & 11 Full width road hump, 75mm high, 3.7 metres in length
Marway Road, Brotton outside nos 25 & 27 Full width road hump, 75mm high, 3.7 metres in length
Marway Road, Brotton outside nos 45 & 47 Full width road hump, 75mm high, 3.7 metres in length
Full details of the proposals are contained in the draft Order which, together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order and location plans showing the proposed traffic calming measures may be examined at the offices below Monday-Friday between 11am and 2pm or at https://www.redcar-cleveland.gov.uk/roads-and-parking/permanent-highway-notices
