What is happening?

BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE

(NORMAN ROAD, ROCHDALE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to;
(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Norman Road from a point 34 metres north east of its junction with Briar Street for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Norman Road from a point 34 metres north east of its junction with Briar Street for a distance of 10 metres in a north easterly direction.

The Order is required to facilitate the repair of a waste water manhole cover within the carriageway.

The Order will be operative from 19:00 hours on the 9th July 2026 until 22:00 hours on the 9th July 2026.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Norman Road, Sparth Bottoms Road, Manchester Road – Old Section, Manchester Road, Dane Street & vice versa.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES & TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Kiln Lane, Milnrow from its junction with Bridge Street to its junction with Crossgates Road for a distance of 490 metres in a north easterly direction.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along Kiln Lane, Milnrow from its junction with Bridge Street to its junction with Crossgates Road for a distance of 490 metres in a north easterly direction.

(iii) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along and waiting at any time along Wildhouse Lane, Milnrow from its junction with Kiln Lane to its junction with Croft Head Drive for a distance of 330 metres in a northerly direction.

The Order is required to safely facilitate Carriageway resurfacing. 

The Order will be operative from 09:00 to 16:30 weekdays & 08:00 to 18:00 on weekends between the 27th July 2026 to the 17th August 2026, or before then if the works are completed sooner.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Wildhouse Lane, Milnrow Road (Littleborough), Smithy Bridge Road, Halifax Road (A58), Albert Royds Street, Milnrow Road (Rochdale), Rochdale Road, Bridge Street & vice versa.

(SMITH HILL, MILNROW)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES ORDER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME ORDER) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to;

(i) Temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Smith Hill from its junction with Crossgates Road for a distance of 108 metres in a northerly direction.

(ii) Temporary prohibit vehicles from waiting at anytime along Smith Hill from its junction with Crossgates Road for a distance of 108 metres in a northerly direction.

The Order is required to safely facilitate footway resurfacing and associated works.

The Order will be operative from 08:00 until 17:00 from the 27th July 2026 until the 21st August 2026, or before then if the works are completed sooner.

Access/egress will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
