ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
BAILEYWOOD LANE/SANDS LANE,
HOLME UPON SPALDING MOOR

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Baileywood/Sands Lane, Holme Upon Spalding Moor
at the junction of Sands/Baileywood Lane commencing
27 July 2026 until 7 August 2026 at all times to
allow for Open Reach diversionary works for the new
building site road widening scheme on Baileywood/
Sands Lane, Holme Upon Spalding Moor. The road
closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried
out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is
anticipated that the works will be completed within 12
days. The alternative route for traffic affected by the
road closure will be via Baileywood Lane, Runner End,
Selby Road, Bulmer Lane and Arglam Lane, Holme Upon
Spalding Moor CP, Howdenshire Ward. The diversion
route will be signed at the time of closure. The road
will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained
for emergency vehicles. Further information can be
