What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.88 (PART) SWADLINCOTE

WHEN: 24 July to 05 September 2026.

WHERE: Close footpath No.88 where it crosses the entrance to the junior school.

REASON: To facilitate public safety during infrastructure works.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From the west take footpath No.108 and walk up the drive next to the works to meet footpath No.88. Vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190.

The County Council intends to make an order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic. Julian Gould, Highways Director - Place, County Hall, MATLOCK, DE4 3AG.
