TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
MOUNT PLEASANT ROAD, HIGH CROSS,
BURTON ROAD, CASTLE ROAD, SWADLINCOTE
WHEN: 30 July to 31 July 2026 (20:00 to 04:00)
WHERE: Mount Pleasant Road, High Cross, Burton Road, Castle Road, Swadlincote between Linton Heath and Burton Road.
REASON: To facilitate grass, gully, litter and road maintenance.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Burton Road, Main Street, Acresford Road, A444, A42, A511, Ashby Road, High Street, Burton Road (A511), Ashby Road East, Ashby Road (A511), Stapenhill Road, St Peters Street, Woodland Road and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
