ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(a) MARKET STREET AREA, CLEETHORPES
(VARIOUS RESTRICTIONS) TTRO 26-140) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the North East Lincolnshire Borough Council intends to make, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, an Order, the effect of which will be:
To temporarily suspend the "30 minutes limited waiting - 8am - 7pm, no return within 30 minutes" restrictions at the following locations;
• SHORT STREET - on the NORTH WESTERN kerb line, from a point 12 metres from its junction with ST PETERS AVENUE, in a NORTH EASTERLY direction, for a distance of 40 metres.
• MARKET STREET - on the NORTH WESTERN kerb line, from a point 10 metres from it's junction with OSBORNE STREET, in a NORTH EASTERLY direction, for a distance of 40 metres.
To temporarily suspend the "No waiting 6.00am-6.00pm Wed & Sat, Waiting limited to 2 hours no return within 2 hours, 6.00am-6.00pm Sun - Tue, Thu & Fri" restriction at the following location;
• MARKET STREET CAR PARK - for the full extent To temporarily implement a "Loading Only" restriction at the following location;
• SHORT STREET - on the NORTH WESTERN kerb line, from a point 12 metres from its junction with ST PETERS AVENUE, in a NORTH EASTERLY direction, for a distance of 40 metres
To temporarily implement a "No Stopping at Any Time" restriction at the following location;
• MARKET STREET CAR PARK - the full extent of the section of kerb line in front of Ladbrokes, commencing from its intersection with the SOUTH-EASTERN kerb line of SHORT STREET, in a SOUTH-EASTERLY direction, for a distance of 10 metres
These temporary measures are required in order to facilitate the NELC Market Street area regeneration project. The order will come into operation on Monday 20th July 2026, and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months unless extended for a further period by the Secretary of State for transport, or until completion of the works (whichever is the earlier). The closure is expected to remain in place until Tuesday 12th January 2027.
Definitive dates and times will be notified with on-site advanced warning signs.
