Moor Park Way (D5325) and Old Compton Lane (D5325) Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 3 July 2026, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- 1. Moor Park Way (D5325) Farnham as extends from its junction with Old Compton Lane (D5325) to its junction with Moor Park Way (D5325) (as heads towards Compton Way); and 2. Old Compton Lane (D5325) Farnham as extends from its junction with Old Compton Lane (D5325) (as heads towards Lynch Road) to its junction with Waverley Lane (B3001).
Alternative route – Moor Park Way, B3001 (Waverley Lane) and Old Compton Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to enable SGN to facilitate gas main replacement and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over multiple phases during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 July 2026 for 3 months between the hours of 7.00am and 5.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2026
On 08 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of the Act the effect of which will be to: (1) Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice and (2) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Aveley Lane (D5313) Farnham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” in its entirety. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 weeks, between the hours of 7am and 5pm, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 20 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

- the entire length of Stream Valley Road (D5312) Lower Bourne. There is no alternative route for this closure.
A287 Churt Road, Churt/Hindhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 8 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles, including cyclists, from entering or proceeding in that length of A287 Churt Road, Churt/Hindhead whichn extends from its junction with Tilford Road to its junction with Beacon Hill Road. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 9 July 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary restrictions and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Access for pedestrians will be permitted by the gatemen when safe to do so. Access for cyclists will not be maintained and will be required to follow the signed diversion route/directed by the gatemen on-site. Alternative Route – D5502 Beacon Hill Road and C28 Tilford Road.

Public Footpath 79 (Farnham)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
On 9 July 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 79 (Farnham) from grid ref: 485452 146650 heading north-east for approximately 187 metres to grid ref: 485552 146802.
The Order is necessary on the grounds of public safety due to works being undertaken on or near the highway.
The closure will be in operation for a period of one month from 13 July 2026 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route for traffic from grid ref 485452 145560 will be to head South on Old Compton Lane for 50 metres, then head north on Lynch Road for 120 metres then continue to follow Lynch Road west for 232 metres. Then head north on Broomleaf Road for 188 metres. Then follow Public Footpath 211 (Farnham) north-east for 130 metres. Then follow Public footpath 80 (Farnham) generally south-east for 246 metres. Then head south on Public Footpath 79 (Farnham) for 132 metres to grid ref: 485552 146802.
The alternative route for traffic from grid ref: 485552 146802 will be the reverse of that described above.
The Public Footpath 79 (Farnham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026 was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
